Chapter54 – a Partech-backed accelerator for European Scaleups joins AfricaWorks in Cape Town (South Africa).
Chapter54 accelerates growth on the continent by enabling European scaleups to succeed in Africa. Each year – with the sponsorship of The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development – Chapter54 will select 10 companies, coming from all over Europe, to support them to expand to Africa through a solid, well-documented and budgeted plan enriched by a pipeline of potential leads and partners.
AfricaWorks and Chapter54 have an aligned purpose of supporting the innovation and start-up ecosystem across the continent. Since the launch of AfricaWorks 1st coworking space in Abidjan in September 2019, AfricaWorks’ goal has always been clear – unlocking Africa’s potential through work – by designing and operating productive, flexible and high-quality coworking mixing and connecting multinationals, SMEs and fast growing startups.
Greg Schwebig, Founder & CEO of AfricaWorks: “As part of our commitment to heighten business synergy in Africa and beyond, we are pleased to welcome Chapter54 to our Cape Town space. AfricaWorks & Chapter54 share the same DNA of supporting fast-growing businesses to scale on the African Continent”
This partnership will provide Chapter54 with high-quality workspaces and a Pan-African community to expand its footprint on the continent.
Commenting on the partnership, Vincent Previ, MD, Chapter54, noted how an on-the-ground partnership with AfricaWorks in Cape Town can help accelerate collaboration between startups and multinationals in Africa by providing high-quality flexible workspaces and a supportive Pan-African community.
